I come from the Everlasting Heroes, a guild of friendly, but competitive players!  We PvE quite a bit, but we spend our weekends doing GvG and Alliance Battles.  We are willing to help new players learn the game, and are looking for veterans to help raise our standing, and get us into a good alliance.  We aren’t an incredibly hard-core guild, and we have a lot of leeway, so all you casual players, who have school (like me) work, or some other form of a life, don’t have to sacrifice it for us.
